“Life” or “Travel” which is correct description of monasteries

Description of sequence of monasteries is different in “Life” from “Travel”. Monastery no 5, by Vajra is west of Monastery no 4, in “Travels” and it is towards the North in “Life”. If we examine both the sequence with the excavated remains we find the sequence based on the description in the “Life” is following the pattern of the excavated site more closely than the one in the “Travel”



It would not be prudent to continue to investigate both descriptions in parallel, so for further discussion we will be following the monastery pattern from the “Life”.
